Capacitor units and code
Convert between pF, nF, µF and mF, and find the three-digit code printed on ceramic capacitors (104 = 100 nF = 0.1 µF). It also works backwards: type the code and get the value.
The first two digits are the value and the third is how many zeros follow, in picofarads: 104 = 10 + 0000 = 100,000 pF = 100 nF = 0.1 µF. Below 10 pF the R is the decimal point (4R7 = 4.7 pF). The letter at the end is the tolerance.
